Basic skills of the game are developed through soccer games and activities. Our leagues strive to have every child play 50% of every game while making friends and learning new techniques. Our soccer program helps kids become not only better soccer players, but better people as well. It's a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels. Fall Soccer Clinic Registration Info Registration Form The Fall Soccer Clinic is a well-rounded soccer clinic focused on technical and tactical skills, and learning in safe, fun environment while being challenged appropriately based on age and s will include drills, small sided soccer contests and competitions. All clinics will be instructed by the new sports director Matthew Eck. We encourage fair play, positive competition, and family involvement. Unlike most club soccer leagues the Y has no tryouts so all kids can experience soccer in a fun friendly level playing field that allows all player to have fun. Soccer is a Spring and Fall sport and has more than players each year. Learn soccer basics like dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive skills. Burn off some energy while making new friends, improving coordination, learning about teamwork and having a BLAST! Each week we will learn something new while building upon what we’ve already practiced.
YMCA Soccer helps kids become not only better soccer players but better people as well. The YMCA soccer program is a progressive program, with multiple age-specific levels. Players are taught basic game skills such as passing, receiving, shooting, footwork and dribbling. With an emphasis on fair play and fun, soccer at the Y is progressive with age-appropriate rules to help teach the game and keep it fun at every level. Our soccer program focuses on sportsmanship and teaching the basic skills including kicking, passing, dribbling, shooting, defense and working as a team. The Greater Wichita YMCA offers a variety of youth soccer programs serving kids from ages at various competitive levels. Choose from clinics, recreational, intermediate, and competitive soccer at our branches and Farha Sports Centers. At the YMCA of the Suncoast our soccer leagues are designed to develop fundamental skills while learning teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship. Skills taught include kicking, passing, dribbling, shooting, and the rules of the game. The focus of the league is to have fun, meet new friends and play soccer in a non-competitive environment.
